Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with customers, offering personalized styling advice and product knowledge for luxury fashion items.
  • Achieve individual and team sales targets by effectively presenting merchandise and expertly closing sales.
  • Maintain an immaculate and aesthetically pleasing store environment, including meticulous merchandising displays and efficient stock replenishment.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, managing clienteling activities such as personalized follow-ups and special event invitations.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and handle returns/exchanges professionally.
  • Stay comprehensively updated on current fashion trends, seasonal brand collections, and competitor activities within the luxury market.
  • Assist with all aspects of inventory management, including receiving, tagging, organizing new merchandise, and conducting regular stock counts.
  • Contribute creatively to visual merchandising efforts to enhance the boutique's appeal and optimize product visibility.
  • Uphold the brand's impeccable image and exceptional service standards at all times, ensuring a premium customer experience.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in fashion retail sales, preferably within a boutique or luxury setting.
  • Strong understanding of current fashion trends, fabric knowledge, and advanced styling techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with absolute fluency in English (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to build immediate rapport with clients and consistently provide excellent, personalized customer service.
  • Goal-oriented with a verifiable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
  • Impeccable personal presentation, a keen eye for detail, and a professional, polished demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Direct experience with luxury brands or high-end product sales.
  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) are a significant advantage for engaging diverse clientele.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills and an innate eye for aesthetics and layout.
  • An existing client book or a robust network within the Lagos fashion scene.
