Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional, personalized customer service, assisting clients with styling advice and product selection.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, fabric compositions, and products within the boutique's inventory.
  • Assist with visual merchandising, ensuring the store is always impeccably presented, clean, and reflects brand standards and seasonal themes.
  • Manage inventory, including receiving, ticketing, organizing, restocking merchandise, and conducting regular stock counts.
  • Process transactions accurately using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system, handle cash, credit card payments, and manage returns/exchanges professionally.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships through personalized follow-ups, clienteling, and exclusive event invitations.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues.
  • Ensure the boutique's cleanliness and organization are maintained to the highest standards at all times.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a fashion or luxury goods environment.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, styling, garment care, and accessories.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of personal presentation and grooming, reflecting the boutique's aesthetic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as retail demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary education (OND, HND, or B.Sc.) in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with clienteling and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly in local Nigerian languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa), are a significant plus.
  • A strong personal network of potential high-value clients or a proven ability to cultivate new clientele.
