Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics tracking.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles, collaborating with various departments.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure timely month-end and year-end close procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within financial operations.
  • Utilize financial software and systems to extract, analyze, and present financial data effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting financial data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Pursuit of professional certifications such as CPA or CFA.
  • Experience in a corporate finance department within a growing company.
