Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and performance metrics tracking.
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles, collaborating with various departments.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations, journal entries, and ensure timely month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing requested documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within financial operations.
- Utilize financial software and systems to extract, analyze, and present financial data effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting financial data.
Preferred Qualifications
