Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable financial regulations.
- Oversee budget preparation and financial forecasting, working closely with various departments.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the annual audit process and collaborate with external auditors.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve financial systems and processes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks Enterprise) and advanced Excel skills.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective internal controls.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification (active or in progress).
