Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily financial operations of the firm, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and billing.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, variances, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize liquidity and returns.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard firm assets.
- Utilize financial software and systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within a professional services firm.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control principles.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial functions).
