Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational goals.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and performance analyses to senior leadership.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth across various departments.
- Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/ASPE).
- Oversee the daily operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Provide astute financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for business development, operational efficiency, and investment decisions.
- Manage and mentor a small, dedicated team of finance professionals, fostering their growth, development, and professional skill enhancement.
- Liaise effectively with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques.
- Expertise with enterprise accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials).
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex financial functions.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
