Job Description

The Finance Manager at Career.zycto will be a strategic partner, critical to our sustained growth and operational efficiency. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to lead our financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational goals.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and performance analyses to senior leadership.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth across various departments.
  • Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant financial regulations, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/ASPE).
  • Oversee the daily operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Provide astute financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior management for business development, operational efficiency, and investment decisions.
  • Manage and mentor a small, dedicated team of finance professionals, fostering their growth, development, and professional skill enhancement.
  • Liaise effectively with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Expertise with enterprise accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex financial functions.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English for clear reporting and presentation.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Superior analytical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) is highly preferred.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA).

  • Previous experience in the consulting, professional services, or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with Canadian tax regulations and financial legislation.
