Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor, and analyze departmental and organizational budgets, identifying variances and reporting on deviations.
- Perform comprehensive reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and other financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process and review invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support year-end audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required by management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer, Financial Accountant, or similar role with a focus on budgeting and reconciliation.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively under deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
