Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of various financial accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate and resolve all discrepancies, variances, and outstanding items in a timely and accurate manner, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including Accounting, Treasury, and Operations, to ensure data integrity and streamline reconciliation processes.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed reconciliation reports for management review, highlighting key findings and progress on outstanding items.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively participate in the implementation of new tools or procedures to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP), and external regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and analysis of reconciliation records.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate records of all reconciliation activities, ensuring a clear audit trail and easy retrieval of information.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial operations, accounting, or reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in reconciliation software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Solid understanding of fundamental financial principles, accounting practices, and reconciliation methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of a diverse team.
- Fluency in English is essential for this role, given our international engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
