In this role, you will be instrumental in the preparation, implementation, and ongoing management of client financial plans. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Financial Planners in preparing comprehensive financial plans, including cash flow analysis, retirement projections, investment summaries, and insurance needs assessments.
  • Gather and organize client financial data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Prepare client review documents, statements, and other necessary reports for client meetings.
  • Conduct research on various financial products, investment opportunities, and industry best practices.
  • Process new client applications, transfers, and account maintenance requests with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure all client files and firm operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, planners, and back-office support for administrative tasks and inquiries.
  • Maintain and update client information in CRM systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Support the team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required to maintain smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial services or financial planning support role.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., NaviPlan, eMoney, FP Solutions).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion or enrollment in Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or other relevant industry designations (e.g., PFP, QAFP, CFP).
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software specific to financial advisory firms.
  • Knowledge of Canadian tax laws, investment products, and insurance concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
