Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for new product initiatives and existing product enhancements.
- Implement device drivers, communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB), and real-time operating system (RTOS) tasks.
- Debug complex firmware issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.
- Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and QA teams to ensure seamless system integration and functionality.
- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for firmware designs, test plans, and release notes.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architectural design to deployment and post-launch support.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in embedded systems development.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
- Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, PIC, AVR).
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) concepts and implementation.
- Familiarity with hardware-software interfaces and debugging techniques.
- Competence in using version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective technical communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
