As an Entry-Level Fisheries Processing Worker, you will play a crucial, hands-on role in ensuring that our premium seafood products meet stringent quality and safety standards at every stage of the processing journey, from the moment they arrive at our plant until they are meticulously prepared for distribution. This position thrives in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment, demanding precision, unwavering attention to detail, and strict adherence to hygienic practices and food safety protocols. You will be an essential member of a supportive and collaborative team, gaining comprehensive training and practical experience across various critical aspects of fish processing. This includes receiving and inspecting raw materials, careful sorting by species and size, efficient cleaning and gutting, precise filleting and trimming, accurate weighing and portioning, and meticulous packaging for fresh, frozen, or value-added products. Furthermore, you will be involved in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of your workstation and the processing area, upholding the highest standards of our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and sort incoming fish and seafood according to species, size, and quality standards.
- Clean, gut, scale, and prepare fish manually or using specialized equipment.
- Perform filleting, trimming, and portioning tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Operate processing machinery safely and effectively after receiving appropriate training.
- Weigh, label, and package processed seafood products according to company specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall plant cleanliness.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Identify and report any quality issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
