Key Responsibilities
- Execute fishing operations using various gear and techniques as instructed by the Captain/Skipper.
- Assist in setting, hauling, and mending fishing nets, lines, and traps.
- Handle, sort, clean, and store the catch onboard, ensuring quality and hygiene standards.
- Participate in lookout duties, navigation assistance, and general vessel operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fishing equipment, deck, and vessel compartments.
- Adhere strictly to all maritime safety regulations, company protocols, and sustainable fishing practices.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or unusual observations to the Captain.
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative working environment with fellow crew members.
- Participate in safety drills and emergency response procedures.
- Assist with provisioning and unloading supplies as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in various fishing techniques (e.g., net fishing, line fishing, trapping).
- Experience with handling and maintaining fishing gear and equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks for extended periods.
