Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Controller to join our dedicated team in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimize daily routes for the fleet, considering traffic, delivery schedules, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitor real-time fleet movement using GPS and telematics systems, addressing deviations or issues promptly.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, scheduling services to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Manage driver schedules, assignments, and ensure adherence to driving regulations (e.g., hours of service).
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal departments regarding logistics and operational status.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, and incident reports.
  • Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international transport regulations and company policies.
  • Respond to emergencies and breakdowns, coordinating necessary support and ensuring driver safety.
  • Generate performance reports on fleet utilization, efficiency, and cost, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Implement and uphold best practices for environmental sustainability within fleet operations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Fleet Controller, Dispatcher, or similar role in logistics (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong understanding of fleet management principles, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software (e.g., TMS, GPS tracking systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of German transport regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in transport management or logistics.
  • Experience with electric vehicle (EV) fleet management.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in transportation.
