Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily dispatch and scheduling of fleet vehicles and drivers to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring timely servicing and repairs to maximize fleet uptime.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, maintenance history, and driver logs.
  • Assist in managing vehicle registration, insurance, and compliance with all provincial and federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, addressing concerns and providing necessary support.
  • Optimize routing and logistics to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Generate reports on fleet performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless operational flow and service delivery.
  • Participate in the implementation of new fleet management technologies and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and safety checks to ensure fleet adherence to safety standards.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role.
  • Familiarity with fleet management software or GPS tracking systems.
