Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport various goods from designated pickup points to customer locations within Cape Town.
- Manage delivery schedules and routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries, considering traffic and road conditions.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before and after delivery, ensuring all items are accounted for and undamaged.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Handle payment transactions accurately, if required, and maintain meticulous records.
- Keep your delivery vehicle clean, well-maintained, and in good working order.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing Career.zycto with a positive and helpful attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid South African driver's license (Code B/8 or higher)
- Clean driving record with no major violations for the past 3 years
- Proven ability to navigate using GPS and mapping applications (e.g., Google Maps, Waze)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg
- Reliable personal vehicle (car, motorcycle, or scooter) suitable for deliveries (with valid registration and insurance)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, courier, or logistics role
- Familiarity with Cape Town's road network and local areas
- Ability to speak multiple local languages (e.g., Xhosa, Afrikaans)
- Access to a smartphone with data for communication and navigation
