Job Description

FlySafair is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our award-winning Cabin Crew team as a Flight Attendant. This full-time role, based out of Middelburg, Mpumalanga, offers a unique opportunity to represent our brand, create memorable travel experiences, and contribute to the seamless operation of our flights. As a Flight Attendant, you will be the face of FlySafair, responsible for the comfort, safety, and well-being of all passengers from boarding to disembarkation. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of all passengers and aircraft throughout the flight.
  • Deliver exceptional in-flight customer service, attending to passenger needs and special requests.
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks, including verifying emergency equipment and cabin readiness.
  • Provide clear and concise safety briefings and demonstrations to passengers.
  • Administer first aid and respond effectively to medical emergencies or other inflight incidents.
  • Manage and resolve passenger conflicts or disruptive behavior professionally.
  • Serve food, beverages, and other amenities in accordance with company standards.
  • Handle on-board sales and manage cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and grooming.
  • Collaborate effectively with the flight deck crew and fellow cabin crew members.
  • Complete all necessary pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to all aviation regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional South African languages a plus).
  • Proven experience in a customer service-oriented role (minimum 2 years).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Impeccable grooming and professional presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to swim unassisted.
  • Valid South African ID.
  • Valid Passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in the aviation industry.
  • A valid Cabin Crew Licence (CCL) or Dangerous Goods Certificate.
  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling.
