Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute new product development and existing product improvement projects from concept to commercialization.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot plant trials to test new ingredients, formulations, and processing methods.
- Analyze physical, chemical, and sensory properties of food products to ensure quality, safety, and desired characteristics.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand consumer preferences and translate them into product specifications.
- Ensure all product formulations and processes comply with relevant food safety regulations (e.g., EU regulations, HACCP).
- Develop and maintain accurate product specifications, nutritional information, and ingredient declarations.
- Troubleshoot product issues and implement corrective actions during scale-up and production.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging ingredients, and new technologies in food science.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in food product development or formulation.
- Strong understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing principles.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment relevant to food analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including planning and execution.
