Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction site operations, ensuring smooth workflow.
- Enforce strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and OSH guidelines.
- Coordinate and manage construction workers, subcontractors, and other trades on-site.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Monitor project progress, quality of workmanship, and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage and optimize the use of materials, equipment, and human resources.
- Communicate regularly with project managers, reporting on progress, challenges, and resource needs.
- Proactively identify and resolve on-site issues, minimizing delays and maintaining productivity.
- Ensure site cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of materials and tools.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior staff, fostering a skilled and productive team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a construction foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with a track record of team management.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Good physical condition and stamina to handle demanding site environments.
- Fluency in German (B2/C1 minimum) and working proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or relevant certifications in construction management or a related field.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
- Valid driver's license (Class B) and comfort operating construction vehicles/machinery.
