Key Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the facility.
- Inspect forklifts daily for any damage or malfunctions and report issues promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including accurate scanning, counting, and recording of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse or storage yard in a neat, orderly, and accessible manner.
- Prepare goods for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and achieve operational targets.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in inventory or product damage.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid Forklift Operator certification/license.
- Proficient in operating counterbalance, reach, and/or pallet jack forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and understand logistics documentation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping.
- Adaptability to work in diverse weather conditions (if outdoor work is involved).
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inventory management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with various types of goods handling (e.g., fragile, oversized).
- A valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
