Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and passionate Freelance Events & Commercial Photographer to join our network of top-tier creative talent in Denham Town, Kingston. Key Responsibilities
- Execute photographic assignments for various events (corporate, social, private) and commercial projects (product, lifestyle, branding) as per client briefs.
- Utilize professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, to capture high-quality images.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific requirements for each project.
- Manage all aspects of photography from conceptualization, planning, shooting, to post-production (editing, retouching, colour grading).
- Ensure timely delivery of edited images in specified formats and resolutions, adhering to project deadlines.
- Maintain and organize a professional portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of photography styles and past work.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual outcome of projects.
- Adhere to professional conduct and ethical standards during all assignments.
- Manage personal equipment maintenance, calibration, and insurance.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Expertise in photographic lighting techniques (natural, artificial, studio flash).
- Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant editing software.
- Strong understanding of composition, exposure, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- A compelling online portfolio showcasing event and commercial photography work.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for shoots.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography (Part 107 certification a plus).
- Established network within the Kingston creative and commercial industries.
- Ability to operate under pressure in fast-paced event environments.
