Are you a talented and passionate freelance photographer with a keen eye for capturing the vibrant spirit of luxury resort life? This freelance gig demands a professional who is adept at working independently, possesses a strong portfolio showcasing a range of styles including lifestyle, landscape, food, and event photography, and is comfortable interacting with guests from diverse backgrounds. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, meticulously edited images promptly, adhering strictly to our brand guidelines and stylistic preferences. Proficiency in post-production software and a strong understanding of color correction, composition, and lighting are essential. Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality, professional photographs and videos of resort facilities, guest activities, events, and natural surroundings.
- Execute assigned photography briefs, ensuring compliance with brand aesthetics and marketing objectives.
- Interact professionally and courteously with guests, ensuring a positive experience during photo sessions.
- Perform post-production tasks, including editing, color correction, retouching, and cropping, using industry-standard software.
- Organize and maintain a digital asset library, ensuring all files are properly named, tagged, and stored.
- Deliver edited images within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain and operate professional photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Proactively identify and capture unique moments and perspectives that enhance the resort's visual narrative.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles (lifestyle, landscape, event, food).
- Expertise in operating professional-grade DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent photo editing software.
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Reliable transportation to and from the resort location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or resort photography.
- Familiarity with drone photography and videography.
- Knowledge of local Jamaican culture and ability to integrate it into visual content.
- Multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, French) are a plus.
