Job Description
J. Wray & Nephew Ltd. is seeking a talented and dynamic Freelance Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography to join our creative network in Trelawny. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to capture the essence of our brands, events, and commercial ventures within the vibrant Jamaican landscape. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling visual content that aligns with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute photography assignments for events, including product launches, promotional activities, corporate gatherings, and community engagements.
- Conduct commercial photoshoots for various brand assets, including product photography, lifestyle imagery, and corporate profiles, ensuring brand consistency.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and brand teams to understand project briefs, creative vision, and deliverable requirements.
- Operate and maintain professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and other necessary accessories.
- Perform post-production tasks, including image selection, colour correction, retouching, and resizing, using industry-standard software.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-resolution images, adhering to specified deadlines and quality standards.
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, maintaining a robust archive of photographic work.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance visual storytelling and content quality.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines, particularly regarding brand representation and intellectual property.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in professional photography, specifically in events and commercial settings.
- Expertise in photographic techniques, composition, lighting, and exposure.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse photography styles and successful project execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Own professional-grade photography equipment (camera bodies, lenses, flashes, tripods, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Jamaican market and cultural nuances.
- Experience working with FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or hospitality brands.
- Ability to operate drone photography equipment and possess relevant certifications.
