Key Responsibilities
- Translate a variety of content types (e.g., marketing materials, technical manuals, legal documents, websites, reports) from source to target language with impeccable accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Maintain consistency in terminology and style across projects, utilizing client-specific glossaries and style guides.
- Perform thorough self-revision and quality checks on all translated materials to ensure linguistic precision, grammatical correctness, and overall coherence.
- Adhere strictly to project deadlines and communicate proactively with project managers regarding any potential delays or challenges.
- Utilize Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools and translation memory software efficiently to enhance productivity and consistency.
- Conduct comprehensive research to ensure accuracy of specialized terminology and cultural nuances.
- Actively participate in feedback processes and continuously strive for professional development in translation best practices.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in at least one target language and professional fluency in English (source or target).
- Proven experience with translation memory (TM) and CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, memoQ, Memsource).
- Exceptional command of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances in both source and target languages.
- Strong research skills for terminology and subject matter accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to meet tight deadlines.
- High degree of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
