Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging and informative tours for individuals and groups, showcasing the best of Montego Bay and surrounding areas.
  • Provide accurate and interesting commentary on historical sites, cultural landmarks, local flora and fauna, and current events.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants, adhering to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
  • Manage tour logistics efficiently, including timings, transportation, and scheduled stops.
  • Adapt tours to suit the interests and needs of diverse groups, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience.
  • Handle unexpected situations with professionalism and resourcefulness, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Promote local businesses, crafts, and culture, encouraging positive visitor engagement.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and a friendly demeanor at all times.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English (fluency required).
  • In-depth knowledge of Montego Bay's history, culture, geography, and attractions.
  • Proven ability to engage and entertain diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if driving tours).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Certification from a recognized tour guide training program.
