Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead engaging, informative, and safe tours for individuals and groups across various Constant Spring and Kingston attractions.
- Share comprehensive knowledge of Jamaica's history, culture, geography, and current events with tour participants.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and exceptional customer service, ensuring positive guest experiences.
- Adapt tour content and pace to meet the diverse interests and needs of different groups.
- Manage group dynamics effectively, fostering a friendly and inclusive environment.
- Handle unexpected situations with calm and efficiency, prioritizing guest safety and satisfaction.
- Provide practical information and recommendations on local amenities, dining, and other activities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company guidelines during tours.
- Continuously update knowledge of local attractions, events, and relevant news.
- Assist with pre-tour preparations and post-tour feedback collection as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a tour guide in Jamaica or a similar role
- Exceptional knowledge of Kingston's history, culture, landmarks, and hidden gems
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for engaging with people
- Ability to lead and manage groups effectively in various environments
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (if applicable for driving tours)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure
- Fluency in English (additional languages a significant plus)
