Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the verification and processing of freight invoices and charges, ensuring accuracy against shipping documentation and agreed-upon rates.
- Maintain meticulous and organized records of all freight costs, including invoices, shipping manifests, and payment confirmations.
- Support data entry and analysis of shipping expenditures to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for cost optimization.
- Help prepare regular reports on freight cost performance, contributing to financial planning and operational efficiency assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including supply chain, procurement, and finance departments, to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with external carriers and vendors to clarify charges and resolve invoicing issues under supervision.
- Contribute to the identification of potential discrepancies in billing and assist in the investigation and resolution process.
- Actively learn and apply company logistics policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Provide general administrative support to the logistics and finance teams as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data handling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data entry and basic analysis.
