Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international freight movements for various modes of transport (sea, air, road).
- Prepare, process, and manage all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise effectively with clients, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers.
- Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to secure optimal pricing and service levels.
- Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
- Provide accurate and timely updates to clients regarding shipment status and potential delays.
- Resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Monitor shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery and handling exceptions.
- Process freight invoices, check for accuracy, and manage financial aspects of shipments.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of all freight activities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
