Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage international and domestic freight movements (air, sea, road, rail).
- Prepare, process, and manage all necessary shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Liaise effectively with clients, carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and warehouses to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Track and trace shipments proactively, providing regular updates and accurate status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate freight rates and services with various carriers to optimise costs and service levels.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, and customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure strict compliance with all international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the freight management system.
- Generate performance reports on shipment activities and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination.
- Solid understanding of international shipping processes, incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in freight management software and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and stakeholder interaction.
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure.
