Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with efficient check-in and check-out procedures, adhering to hotel standards.
- Manage guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately using the hotel's property management system (PMS).
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and a proactive approach to resolution.
- Process payments, manage cash float, and maintain accurate billing records.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Answer multi-line telephones, direct calls, and take messages effectively.
- Maintain a tidy and presentable front desk area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
- Liaise closely with other departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Concierge) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support night audit functions as required.
- Promote hotel services and facilities, encouraging repeat business and positive guest feedback.
- Adhere to all hotel security, safety, and cash handling procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality sector (minimum 1 year).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French (Mauritian Creole is a significant advantage).
- Proficiency in using hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and standard office software (MS Office Suite).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and efficient under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service and creating memorable experiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or a related field.

- Knowledge of an additional international language (e.g., German, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish).
- Familiarity with local attractions, transportation, and concierge services in Mauritius.
