Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival, performing efficient check-ins and check-outs according to established procedures.
- Manage all forms of guest communication, including answering phones, responding to emails, and handling walk-in inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately using the hotel's property management system (PMS).
- Handle guest requests and complaints, escalating complex issues to management when necessary, and ensuring timely resolution to guest satisfaction.
- Process payments, manage cash drawer, and reconcile daily transactions, adhering to all financial procedures.
- Provide comprehensive information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions, offering personalized recommendations to enhance guest stays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage) to ensure seamless guest service.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation as required.
- Uphold the hotel's safety and security standards and emergency procedures.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel front office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) – experience with common hotel software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
- A professional and polished demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, French, Mandarin).
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of the local Walnut Beach/Milford area attractions and services.
