Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.
- Manage guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately using our property management system.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or providing information.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliation.
- Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints with empathy and efficiency, striving for a positive resolution.
- Provide detailed information about hotel services, local attractions, dining options, and transportation.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and lobby area.
- Collaborate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Process wake-up calls and special requests as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or retail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, email, internet browsing).
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to guest needs.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with a Property Management System (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or similar.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a degree or certificate in Hospitality Management is a plus.
- Fluency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, German) is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Powers, Colorado Springs area and local attractions.
