Key Responsibilities
- Carefully harvest a variety of fruits by hand or using appropriate tools, ensuring minimal damage to produce and plants.
- Inspect harvested fruits for quality, ripeness, and defects, discarding unsuitable produce according to established guidelines.
- Sort, grade, and pack fruits into designated containers or bins precisely and efficiently according to farm standards.
- Transport harvested fruits from the fields to packing areas, utilizing carts, buckets, or other designated equipment safely.
- Adhere strictly to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols at all times to maintain product integrity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including fields and packing stations, throughout the day.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for working with farm equipment and in agricultural environments.
- Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily harvesting targets.
- Perform general farm maintenance tasks as needed, such as weeding, clearing debris, or minor equipment cleaning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, potential safety hazards, or quality control issues to supervisors promptly and clearly.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and endurance for prolonged standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive movements.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, humidity, cold, rain) for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and unwavering reliability, with a commitment to punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Excellent attention to detail for precise quality control and careful handling of delicate produce.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently from supervisors.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate respectfully with colleagues and supervisors.
- Adaptability to changing tasks, priorities, and environmental conditions in a fast-paced agricultural setting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or fruit/vegetable picking.
- Experience operating basic farm equipment (e.g., utility vehicles, hand tools, if applicable).
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages (e.g., English and Spanish/Punjabi) is an asset.
