Key Responsibilities
- Assist fuel delivery drivers with pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on delivery equipment as needed.
- Manage and organize fuel inventory, including tracking levels and assisting with restocking procedures.
- Load and unload fuel products safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fuel yard, warehouse, and work areas.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment for material handling (training provided if necessary).
- Assist with route planning and optimization by providing support to dispatch and drivers.
- Ensure all safety data sheets (SDS) and regulatory compliance documents are up-to-date and accessible.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and management regarding operational needs and issues.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or industrial support role
- Strong understanding and commitment to workplace safety procedures
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the fuel, oil & gas, or transportation industry
- Forklift operator certification
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling regulations
- Mechanical aptitude for vehicle and equipment troubleshooting
