Key Responsibilities
- Assist fuel delivery drivers with the safe and efficient handling of hoses, pumps, and other equipment during fuel transfers.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local transportation laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, manifests, and safety checklists.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and associated equipment.
- Provide physical support for lifting, carrying, and positioning hoses and other heavy equipment as required.
- Participate in ongoing safety training and development programs.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle checks.
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehousing, delivery, or industrial support role.
- Familiarity with fuel handling procedures or hazardous materials regulations.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
