GCB Bank Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Full-Time Business Analyst with flexible hours to join our dynamic team in Tamale. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders using techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and detailed functional specifications, user stories, and use cases for development teams.
- Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs and technical feasibility.
- Facilitate communication and understanding between business units and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and execute test plans, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure delivered solutions are accurate and effective.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions, making recommendations for further improvements.
- Support the creation of training materials and provide guidance to end-users on new systems or processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in banking and business analysis.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques (e.g., interviews, workshops, prototyping) and documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Solid understanding of business process modeling (BPMN) and data modeling principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, well-documented solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or other relevant certifications (e.g., CCBA, Agile BA).
- Experience with banking core systems, digital banking platforms, or financial technologies (FinTech).
- Project management experience or familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the Ghanaian financial sector.
