Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full-Time Medical Doctor to join our dedicated team at the Aga Khan Hospital Medical Centre in Naivasha. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population, encompassing diagnosis, treatment, and management of various medical conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing individualized treatment plans, and ensuring effective communication with patients and their families regarding their health status and care options.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories for patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as X-rays, ECGs, and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies.
- Provide preventative care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families.
- Manage medical emergencies and provide immediate medical interventions when necessary.
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare facilities as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all medical ethics, professional standards, and hospital policies.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid medical practitioner's license from the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (MPDC) of Kenya.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-internship clinical experience.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency in diagnosis and patient management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Sound knowledge of medical ethics and patient confidentiality.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate training or certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field.
- Experience working within a private healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Additional language proficiency beyond English and Swahili.
