Job Description

Projetecs Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-Time Plumber to join our growing team in Ébène, Mauritius. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in various commercial, industrial, and residential settings. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of water supply, drainage, and waste disposal systems across our projects. We are looking for an individual who possesses strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, and fixtures involved in water distribution, drainage, and sewage systems.
  • Inspect plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
  • Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles and lengths using hand and power tools.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems using pressure gauges and other equipment.
  • Install and maintain various plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and garbage disposals.
  • Adhere to all local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide accurate estimates for materials and labor for plumbing installations and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other construction workers, such as electricians, carpenters, and pipefitters.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plumber in commercial or residential settings.
  • Solid knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training or technical certification in Plumbing.
  • Experience with various pipe materials (e.g., copper, PVC, PEX, galvanized steel).
  • Familiarity with local building and plumbing codes in Mauritius.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
