Job Description

The Sandals Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Entry-Level Fundraising Support Clerk to join our team in Bloody Bay, Negril. As a Fundraising Support Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, providing essential administrative and logistical support to our fundraising team. Your meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach, and excellent organizational skills will be vital in maintaining accurate donor records, assisting with communication efforts, and supporting various fundraising events and campaigns. You will be instrumental in helping us connect with our donors and achieve our fundraising goals, directly contributing to education, community development, and environmental conservation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of donor databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of information.
- Prepare and process donor correspondence, including thank-you letters, receipts, and other communication materials.
- Provide administrative support for fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives, including preparing materials and coordinating logistics.
- Conduct basic research on potential donors or funding opportunities as directed by the fundraising team.
- Support the creation and distribution of fundraising reports, presentations, and other related documents.
- Handle incoming inquiries related to donations and fundraising activities, directing them to the appropriate team member.
- Organize and maintain filing systems, both digital and physical, for fundraising records and documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment.
- Perform other clerical and administrative duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the Foundation.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong desire to learn and contribute to a non-profit mission.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or some college coursework in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role (volunteer experience is welcome).
- Familiarity with CRM software or donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) is a plus.
- Passion for community development, environmental protection, or education.
