Key Responsibilities
- Assist funeral directors with all aspects of funeral services and visitations.
- Prepare and maintain facilities, including chapels, visitation rooms, and reception areas, ensuring cleanliness and appropriate setup.
- Receive and prepare floral tributes, personal effects, and memorial items.
- Assist with the transfer and transportation of the deceased with dignity and respect.
- Greet and direct family members and guests with warmth and sensitivity.
- Provide compassionate support to bereaved families, anticipating and addressing their immediate needs.
- Oversee the proper arrangement of chairs, signage, and other necessary equipment for services.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and assist with general administrative duties as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in sensitive situations.
- Proven ability to maintain composure and professional demeanor under emotional circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and discretion.
