Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions to determine component requirements and assembly sequence.
- Assemble furniture components using various hand and power tools, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring high-quality standards are met before packaging.
- Operate and maintain a range of workshop equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies within the workshop environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize assembly processes and meet production targets.
- Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading of components as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly process.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Furniture Assembler or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in using common hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, wrenches) and power tools (saws, sanders).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions accurately.
