Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and visionary Game Producer to join our dynamic team in Changara, Tete Province. This pivotal role will be instrumental in guiding our game development projects through their entire lifecycle, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Game Producer, you will be the central point of contact, orchestrating communication between various departments, including design, engineering, art, and quality assurance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage game development projects from initial concept through to successful launch and post-launch support.
- Define and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams (design, art, engineering, QA).
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively, ensuring smooth project flow.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, and sprint backlogs, adapting as needed.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are integrated throughout the development cycle, from pre-alpha to final release.
- Conduct regular project reviews, stand-ups, and post-mortems to foster continuous improvement and learning.
- Champion the game's vision, ensuring all team members are aligned, motivated, and contributing effectively.
- Manage external vendors and contractors as needed, upholding quality and delivery standards.
- Mentor and develop junior production staff, fostering a positive, productive, and growth-oriented team culture.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in game production or a similar project management role within the interactive entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of successfully shipping at least two games on various platforms.
- Strong understanding of game development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana).
- Ability to manage complex budgets and schedules effectively, ensuring financial and timeline adherence.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate creative and technical teams to achieve shared goals.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities under pressure, with a solution-oriented approach.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective global communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with multiple game genres or platforms (PC, Console, Mobile) a distinct advantage.
- Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications.
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
