The Residence Zanzibar is seeking a dedicated Garage Lubrication Assistant to join our dynamic maintenance team. This vital role involves supporting the longevity and efficiency of our resort’s fleet of vehicles, generators, and other essential mechanical equipment through diligent lubrication and routine checks. As a Garage Lubrication Assistant, you will play a crucial part in our operational excellence, ensuring that all moving parts are properly maintained to prevent wear and tear, reduce breakdowns, and extend the lifespan of our valuable assets. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lubrication of various resort vehicles (e.g., buggies, vans), generators, and other mechanical equipment according to established schedules and guidelines.
- Inspect components for wear, leaks, or damage during lubrication processes and report any abnormalities to the Head of Maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of lubrication activities, including dates, types of lubricant used, and any observations made.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of lubricants, greases, and maintenance supplies, adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
- Assist skilled technicians with general garage duties, including cleaning tools, maintaining a tidy workspace, and supporting minor repairs as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all resort safety procedures and operational standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and collaborating with colleagues, fostering a spirit of mutual support and efficiency.
