This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and environmental health of our beautiful city. As an offsider, you will be an integral part of our daily collection routes, working closely with a professional driver to ensure efficient and safe waste removal from residential and commercial areas. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the garbage truck driver with navigating collection routes and maneuvering the vehicle safely.
- Load various types of waste materials (general waste, recycling, green waste) into the compaction unit of the garbage truck.
- Operate compaction mechanisms and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-start and post-route checks on equipment and report any defects or issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and surrounding work areas during and after collection.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and local waste management regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents and businesses on route.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all scheduled collections are completed on time.
