Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control gas processing equipment (compressors, turbines, pumps, valves, purification units) via SCADA/DCS systems.
- Perform routine plant inspections, identifying and reporting any anomalies or potential hazards.
- Execute start-up, shut-down, and emergency procedures safely and efficiently.
- Collect and interpret operational data, making necessary adjustments to optimize plant performance.
- Conduct minor preventative maintenance tasks and assist maintenance personnel with major repairs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, shift reports, and incident documentation.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Gas Plant Operator or similar industrial process role.
- Strong understanding of gas processing operations, including compression, dehydration, and purification.
- Proficiency with SCADA/DCS systems and industrial control technologies.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and operating manuals.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English (verbal and written).
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, shift-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or vocational training in process technology, industrial operations, or a related field.
- Certifications in industrial safety (e.g., confined space, lockout/tagout).
- Experience with ATEX directives and German industrial safety standards (BetrSichV).
