Key Responsibilities

  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Assist skilled tradespeople and operators with various project requirements and tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
  • Load and unload materials from vehicles, ensuring proper handling and storage.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and procedures meticulously.
  • Perform site clean-up and waste disposal according to environmental regulations.
  • Complete repetitive tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents immediately to supervisors.
  • Adhere to project timelines, work schedules, and instructions from site supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Strong physical stamina, endurance, and manual dexterity.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles and practices.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience (e.g., 6 months to 1 year) in a construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar physically demanding role.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • WHMIS certification.
  • Experience operating small equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck).
