Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, fit, and install various types of glass, including plate, tempered, insulated, and laminated glass.
- Install pre-fabricated glass products such as windows, doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and storefronts.
- Assemble and install framing systems, sashes, and other structural components for glass installations.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and installation procedures.
- Prepare and clean surfaces for glass installation, ensuring proper sealing and caulking.
- Handle and transport glass materials safely to prevent damage and injury.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment, including glass cutters, suction cups, power tools, and lifting devices.
- Inspect installed units for proper fit, alignment, and seal, making adjustments as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and construction site regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in glass installation and frame fitting.
