We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Glass Installer & Frame Fitting Technician to become a vital part of our growing team in Nairobi, Nairobi City County. Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, fit, and install various types of glass, including plate, tempered, insulated, and laminated glass.
  • Install pre-fabricated glass products such as windows, doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and storefronts.
  • Assemble and install framing systems, sashes, and other structural components for glass installations.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and installation procedures.
  • Prepare and clean surfaces for glass installation, ensuring proper sealing and caulking.
  • Handle and transport glass materials safely to prevent damage and injury.
  • Operate specialized tools and equipment, including glass cutters, suction cups, power tools, and lifting devices.
  • Inspect installed units for proper fit, alignment, and seal, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and construction site regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in glass installation and frame fitting.
  • Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and handling various glass types.
  • Strong understanding of different framing systems and their installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Competence in using a wide range of hand and power tools specific to glass installation.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.

Preferred Qualifications
