Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government sources aligned with client missions.
- Develop, write, and submit compelling and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and other fundraising materials.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information, data, and stories for grant applications.
- Manage a grants calendar, tracking deadlines, submission requirements, and reporting schedules.
- Maintain meticulous records of all grant applications, awards, rejections, and follow-up communications.
- Prepare grant reports and updates for funders, ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Stay informed about current trends in philanthropy, grant funding, and relevant policy changes.
- Participate in strategic planning discussions related to client funding goals and objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to clients on enhancing their program descriptions and funding readiness.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional grant writing experience with a proven track record of securing funding.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive narratives.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify relevant funding opportunities and gather supporting data.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational tools to manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated understanding of grant proposal structures, budgets, and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant database software (e.g., GrantStation, Foundation Directory Online).
Preferred Qualifications
