Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and culturally astute Grant Writer to join our growing team in Bransholme, Kingston upon Hull. This unique role is specifically designed to welcome and leverage the diverse perspectives and experiences of professionals who may be new to the UK, or those with a deep understanding of international funding landscapes. As a Grant Writer, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital funding for our varied projects, which often have an international scope or benefit diverse communities.

Your primary focus will be on researching, preparing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, corporations, and other funding bodies. We are looking for someone who can articulate our mission and project needs with clarity, passion, and precision, ensuring that our applications stand out. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to gather necessary information, data, and stories for grant applications.
  • Manage the grant submission process, including timely preparation and submission of all required documents.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of grant opportunities, submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with grant officers and program staff at funding organisations.
  • Prepare detailed reports for funders on grant utilisation and project progress, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in grant writing, with a portfolio of successful applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities to identify appropriate funding sources.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
