Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research to identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with our clients' missions and projects.
- Develop, write, and edit compelling and persuasive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, concept papers, and supporting documents tailored to specific funder guidelines and objectives.
- Collaborate closely with client teams and internal consultants to gather necessary project information, budgets, and data for grant applications, ensuring accuracy and coherence.
- Manage the entire grant application process from initial research to submission, maintaining a calendar of deadlines and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all required materials.
- Maintain meticulous records of all grant applications, submissions, and outcomes using our internal tracking systems, and prepare regular reports on fundraising activities.
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding organizations and stakeholders, representing Career.zycto and its clients professionally.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of grant writing strategies, templates, and best practices within Career.zycto.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Grant Writer with a strong portfolio of successful grant applications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to research, synthesize information, and create compelling narratives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using grant research databases and online submission platforms.
- Familiarity with budget development and financial reporting in the context of grant applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Non-profit Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with German funding landscape or European grant programs.
- Certifications in Grant Writing or Fundraising.
- Proficiency in German is a plus, though not strictly required for this role.
- Experience working with diverse client portfolios across multiple sectors.
