Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Grants Administrator to join our growing team in Siegen. As our Grants Administrator, you will play a central role in the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying potential funding opportunities and assisting with proposal development to managing post-award administration, reporting, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research potential grant funding opportunities from various public and private sources.
  • Assist in the preparation, writing, and submission of grant proposals, ensuring adherence to all funder guidelines and deadlines.
  • Develop and manage detailed project budgets in collaboration with project leads and the finance department.
  • Monitor grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with budget allocations, funder regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive financial and programmatic reports to funders on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grant-related activities, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for funders regarding administrative and compliance inquiries.
  • Facilitate internal communication and coordination between project teams, finance, and leadership regarding grant status and requirements.
  • Stay informed about current grant regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in grants administration.
  • Assist with grant audits and ensure all necessary documentation is readily available.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants administration, grant writing, or financial management within a non-profit, research, or governmental setting.
  • Proven experience with grant research and proposal development.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and budget development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and grant management software/databases.
  • Ability to interpret complex grant guidelines and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems for grants management.
